Your First Visit

Please plan to come 15 minutes early for your first appointment so we can learn about your medical history. Certain patients need to take medication before dental work is done. We can help advise you as we look at your records. Also inform us of any medications you are taking so we can avoid potential harmful drug interactions. Bring insurance information, too, if you are planning to file a claim for dental work.

Your Child's First Visit

We do our best to make your child's first visit here fun. First, the child will meet our staff and learn proper brushing and flossing. Then comes a ride in the dentist's chair. The doctor will visually examine the teeth and encourage the young patient to come back soon for a cleaning. He'll show the child the "special toothbrush" dentists use.

If your child has nearly all his or her baby teeth, we will be happy to set up this important first visit.

Prevention

The benefit of regular checkups and cleanings are clear:

  • To protect and preserve your natural teeth
  • To keep your smile and your appearance up to par
  • To save yourself from pain, possible loss of teeth, and expensive dental bills by allowing your doctor to identify and treat small problems before they grow.

Show you care by brushing and flossing daily, eating well-balanced meals and visiting us regularly.

X-Rays

We take x-rays only when absolutely necessary to help us identify problems and treat them before they become serious. Besides detecting cavities, x-rays help uncover cysts, abscesses, tumors, and gum disease. Dental x-rays are quite safe today, thanks to high-speed film and special equipment.

Modern Dentistry

There is good news for people who are afraid to go the dentist. Modern methods make dental work less stressful and almost painless. Local pain blocks are extremely effective and easily administered. we even have ways to reduce the discomfort of the injection. Our staff is trained to help you relax. We will discuss procedures with you ahead of time and give you tips on how to get ready for you appointment.

A word of thanks to all of you who have recommended us to your neighbors. Your note of confidence is appreciated.
